Crime victim compensation

Crime can have a devastating and lasting impact on how victims cope with everyday life. Among other things, financial difficulties may arise after the crime.

If you have suffered severe physical or mental health damage as a result of a crime and you have not been able to go to work because of this or have had to pay for the costs related to the restoration of your health, you may be entitled to receive financial compensation from the state. In the event of the victim's death, the dependents or the person who bore the funeral expenses have the right to receive compensation.
